Shive Magazine caught up with the Nola Diva in this issue titled,” IN HER OWN LANE”.

Shive: New Orleans has a strong track record of ill MCs but few females have been able to establish their positions among the noted. The footprints you are leaving on the NOLA hip hop scene are getting major attention. What has been the hardest part of your journey thus far? 

Na’tee: The hardest part of my journey so far career wise has been just dealing with people who aren’t genuine. They don’t necessarily have your best interest in mind. I know you have to deal with that in the real world but in this industry I’ve seen people pretend to help and don’t really want to.

Shive: Do you think things getting easier for female MCs in the hip-hop world?

Na’tee: I don’t think it’s getting easier but I definitely can accredit to what’s going on with the females coming out like Nicki Minaj. The fact that she came out so strong people are starting to pay attention and sign Hip-Hop artists. I think it’s much deserved and should have been happened.
