Bobby V phoned in to chat about his upcoming 5th studio album titled, Dusk Till Dawn dropping October 16th. The R&B crooner has already released two tracks off the highly anticipated album, “Mirror” featuring Lil Wayne and “Ooh (She Got Me Like).”
The album will also feature “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star K. Michelle, Future, Red Café, Gucci Mane, and Cassidy. Join us as we chat it up with Bobby V.
Shive: So your fifth album will be hitting stores on Oct. 16 titled “Dusk Till Dawn,” Why did you choose this for you album’s title?
First of all, my grind has been from Dusk Till Dawn in making the album and there’s a lot things that you can do from Dusk Till Dawn. It’s definitely an album that you can grind to from top to bottom from Dusk Till Dawn. October 16 you better go get it and grab somebody special when you get it cuz that’s what it’s for.
Shive: What can your fans expect from this particular album?
You can just expect a continuation of what I been doing on my previous 4 albums, Hard beats with quality music. Good wholesome R&B music. From top to bottom, Dusk Till Dawn.
Shive: Do you have a favorite song on this album?
Every song on there is my favorite. I recorded 60 songs for this album and I picked twelve of my favorites, so every song on that thing is my favorite.
Shive: What do you think sets this album apart from your last four albums?
Just a little bit of maturity. As far as creating and putting the album together, I still pretty much stay in my lane. There’s nothing really drastically different from my last albums just good R&B music that has been missing.
Shive: How has Bobby V “the artist”, evolved since the first self titled album in 2005?
I’ve just been more business wise. The business is steadily changing. I think everybody evolve as years progress it can be for the better or maybe for the worst. I’m just getting older and wiser.
Shive: Besides the new album, what else is in works?
I got a reality show I’m working on with my family, a few independent films, and my ep. I’m just working hard with my label, Blue Collar Dreams. Finding artists and helping them mature and grow to be great Artists and Entrepreneurs.
Shive: I know all your female fans want to know, is Bobby V single?
