Ahmad Givens known to the world as VH1’s Real Chance of Love star “Real” has lost his battle against colon cancer. He was 33.

Real and his brother Kamal (Chance) are also members of the rap group Stallionaires. They were contestants on VH1’s I Love New York in 2007. Afterwards the brothers starred in their own reality dating show Real Chance of Love for two seasons.

In 2013, Real was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Thru surgery the cancer was removed but returned in January.

“I remember I was laying on the hospital bed and the doctor came in crying and when I saw her crying I knew it was something serious,” he said of the moments before he was informed that he had stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his liver. “My doctors thought I had, like, three days to live so they just zapped me with chemo. I left out of there with my veins burning and everything.”
