How to Apply False Eyelashes

Raise your hand if you’ve always been intimidated by falsies! As much as I’m a self-proclaimed beauty junkie, applying fake lashes has never been in my makeup wheelhouse.
So, when Make Up For Ever opened its first LA outpost and invited me for a Faux Lash tutorial, I couldn’t help but jump at the chance. I met up with Lijha Stewart, a.k.a. my Lash Mentor, who tipped us off to her five-step faux lash program.
Step 1, Prep: Apply all your makeup, including eyeliner and mascara.
Step 2, Measuring: Once you remove the lashes from the box, line them up with the inner corner of your eye, and make a note where the fake lashes meet your last outer lash. Then cut, from the outside, the lashes vertically so they are the right length.
Expert Tip: For a more natural effect, you can cut them shorter and then apply them starting in the center of your lash line.
