DMX incarcerated and breaking the rules

DMX was sentenced to a year in prison back in December last year, due to his lack of report to his probation officer and his refusal to undergo drug treatment. It’s been reported that DMX has been cited for drug possession, failing and refusing a drug test and smoking… while he’s still locked up.

DMX was scheduled to be released from jail July 13th. From the looks of things he might be celled for at least another week… or longer.

MTV News reported that Gary Jenkins, DMX’s lawyer is hopeful that his client will get the help he needs to work on his drug addiction issues when he’s finally released. Jenkins also said:

“I hope that this time he understands that his addiction can’t be dealt with privately.”

Nakia Walker, DMX’s manager, said that after the rapper’s long ordeal with drugs and authorities, she thinks DMX needs a new start.

“Prison was never a place for Earl because he has a sickness. If he is medicated properly, he wouldn’t have the need for drugs.”

X is scheduled to drop his new single “Y’all Don’t Know” featuring Busta Rhymes in the coming two or three weeks.
